Fingerprinting for OEC Child Care Background Checks

The Office of Early Childhood is partnering with the 2-1-1 Child Care to provide this free digital fingerprinting service for child care provider staff, volunteers, and household members who are required to complete a comprehensive background check at least every five years.

Covid-19 safety requirements for  all appointments.

If you are currently sick or experiencing any symptoms associated with Covid-19,  you must delay scheduling an appointment until you have been symptom-free for at least 14 days.  If you feel sick on the day of your appointment, do not come!  Call 1-800-500-1000 to cancel. Upon your arrival you will be required to:

  1. Submit to no-touch temperature scan. Anyone with an elevated temperature will be asked to reschedule their appointment once their temperature has normalized. Anyone refusing the temperature scan will not be admitted into the building.
  2. Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all time.
  3. Maintain the required social distancing protocols.
  4. Only the person being fingerprinted will be allowed into the building. The only exceptions to this are: someone acting as an interpreter, someone accompanying a minor (age 16 or 17 only), or someone providing medical assistance services to the person being fingerprinted.

Sessions are held across the state!  To learn about hosting a session at your Center, please email fingerprinting@ctunitedway.org, or call 1-800-505-1000.
