Fingerprinting for OEC Child Care Background Checks

The Office of Early Childhood is partnering with the United Way of CT to provide this free digital fingerprinting service for child care provider staff, volunteers, and household members who are required to complete a comprehensive background check at least every five years.

Fingerprinting appointments are offered every week in Rocky Hill at various dates and times.

Please be advised due to COVID-19 precautions appointments are postponed to a later date that is to be determined.

Anyone who is currently sick or experiencing any symptoms associated with Covid-19 is to delay scheduling an appointment until the individual has been symptom free for 14 days.

Upon your arrival you will be required to:

  1. Submit to temporal scan. Anyone with an elevated temperature will be asked to reschedule their appointment once their temperature has normalized. Anyone refusing the temporal scan will not be admitted into the building
  2. Wear a mask at all times
  3. Maintain the required social distancing protocols
  4. Only the person being fingerprinted will be allowed in to the building. The exceptions to this are: someone acting as a translator, someone accompanying a minor (age 16 or 17 only), or someone providing medical assistance services to the person being printed.
