Child Care Referrals Specialists help parents learn about options in their community and understand what to look for in finding a quality child care arrangement, including a provider’s Elevate Level in CT’s Quality Improvement System. They encourage parents to contact the Office of Early Childhood Division of Licensing to check on the complaint history of licensed child care programs.
In addition, Child Care Referral Specialists can also help parents become connected to other resources such as Connecticut’s child care subsidy program, Care 4 Kids or Birth to Three, for families who may have concerns about their children’s development.
